Attwoods 'Old Hog' Pinot Noir 2017

Organic Geelong fruit, 50% whole bunch, wild yeast fermented in 1 and 2 tonne wooden fermenters. Light extraction, 1 year in French barriques (of which one third new) then bottled and left a further 12 months before release.

This wine is lighter-bodied than Garibaldi Farm, and has more whole bunch notes. It's full of juicy, spicy red berry fruits, with a finely detailed spray of spices. Long and well balanced. 95 Points. Drink to 2027. - James Halliday
