Clos Cibonne ‘Caroline’ Rosè 2017

Caroline is produced in barrique, fermented and aged. One third is new oak. Flor yeast layer is used in some of the wines, lees are woven into the make up of the wine. Produced from the obscure, local grape variety Tibouren. Complexity is inherent in these wines.
Punchy rose, almost elevates itself into light red despite the very pale colour. Chewy tannins, licks of nougat and clove spice, red cherry, but fine, dry flavours, good length, good refreshment factor. Serious as. Elegance is a good word here too. Incredible wine to savour and spend time on. 94 Points. Drink till 2030. - Mike Bennie
