Droin 'Vaillons' 1er Cru Chablis 2018

Droin is now undoubtably the #3 producer in Chablis, this might not sound like a compliment if you aren't familiar with Chablis, which has been dominated by Raveneau and Dauvissat, gods in the wine world.

If you have a preference Rav or Dav this certainly sits closer stylistically to Raveneau, richness and opulent fruit character, but still with the signature minerality of Chablis. Quite the achievement.

The Vaillons 1er Cru vineyard produces extremely classically styled Chablis, with extremely cool green apple, iodine and a piercing salty finish. - Andy Tyson
